Literally: "Dumplings with fermented cabbage". This is a Czech traditional dish which I revisited in a vegan version. Don't be afraid if you don't like very much onion or cabbage (me neither) because the combination of these ingredients suits perfectly and you won't taste any unlikable flavour. Success is guaranteed and you will gain health!
INGREDIENTS:
1 big onion
400 gr fermented cabbage (already drained)
200 gr soy sausages
500 gr potato dumplings
extra virgin olive oil, himalayan pink salt and black pepper (as needed)
PROCEDURE:
First of all, drain the cabbage from its conservation liquid and soak for 15 minutes in clean water. Chop onion and stir fry with 2 tbs olive oil, then add drained cabbage and let it cook over low heat and covered for about 10 minutes. Meanwhile, boil dumplings in salted water and cut sausages into small pieces. When cabbage is cooked, add the other ingredients and season to taste. Add a shred of olive oil if you wish.
